We are What We wear
Loving the slip-ons from Topshop!

Eat clean and enjoy your breakfast!
I got a natural peanut butter from NTUC. You can really tell the difference in taste and I like it when they dont add sugar to it. That's au natural for you!
Top off your bread with natural peanut butter, banana and cinnamon powder!

Staycation: Studio M Hotel

Booked Studio M hotel for le bestie's days celebration. Got a Free upgrade to premier loft! Studio M is a cozy hotel and it'd venue is superb with many nice restaurants around! If you are someone who really likes space alot,  studio M might not be the place for you as it is really small and cozy.

The gym and pool is really nice! Albeit abit crowded. The only complaint we have is for breakfast. When you thought nothing can do wrong for hash brown, Bacon and eggs.. Things go really bad.
If you are toying with the idea of booking with buffet breakfast,  my suggestion would be to go without.

We took mrt to Clarke Quay station and walked to Liang Court where we started off the day with Tampopo which is one of my favourite Japanese restaurant around. Their scoop cake is so delish!Dinner was at Brussels sprouts where the clams and mussels go so well with the refillable fries. We ordered wings too and the quantity was so much that we couldn't finish!
Wanted to Go Laurent for dessert but was too full.

Robertson quay area has many food choices for us to choose from and the stroll from the hotel to there made us felt like we were really on vacation!

Of course, the company is what matters the most! Love Ya bestie!  :)

Travelogue: Yangon, Myanmar - Building Empathy for the Blind

Every picture tells a story.

What happens when you loses one of your senses? Can you imagine life without your senses? How will you feel?

The pictures above were from my trip to Yangon, Myanmar where i visited a centre for the blind. Watching them weave baskets is simply inspiring! They are also trained as masseurs and i found them playing chess with bottle caps while waiting for customers.

I went to Dialogue in the Dark a couple of years ago and that experience really built empathy for the blind in me. I walked around in pitch darkness and felt the fear within me grow. It was really uncomfortable not being able to see. It got me thinking more about their daily challenges. What i experienced in that hour was just a snippet of what they will face in their daily life.

SAVH also has different programs that help the visually handicapped help themselves. They have a mobile massage team and offers dining in the dark experience as well!

To build empathy, you have to first experience it. Check out dialogue/dining in the dark if you have not!
